This policy covers this website and our image library for lighting and interior designers.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
Cloudflare delivers the pages. To do that, and to protect the site against attacks, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical request data.
When you email us, we use your message and address to answer you. Google Workspace stores our email. We keep a message as long as we need it, or longer when Dutch tax law requires us to keep it as a business record.
The image library
The image library is in a private pilot. This is what we process, why, and on which legal basis in the GDPR.
- Account data: your name, email address and sign-in details, to give you access. You sign in with a password or with your Google account. Needed to provide the service (article 6(1)(b)).
- Library data and images: tags, products, notes, settings, and the images you upload to a cloud library. In a local library, image files stay on your own computer. Needed to provide the service (article 6(1)(b)).
- AI tagging: to suggest tags, we send a reduced copy of an image to OpenAI, through OpenRouter. When OpenAI is not available, we can use Google's Gemini API instead. Needed to provide the service (article 6(1)(b)).
- Content check: before an image is stored in a cloud library, Google Cloud Vision checks it for unlawful or harmful content. This is in our legitimate interest, and in the interest of every user, to keep the service safe and lawful (article 6(1)(f)).
- Team records: a log of actions in a shared library, such as invites and removed members, so the owner can see who changed what. Legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f)).
- Error reports: technical details of an error, only when you turn on error reporting in the settings. Your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw there at any time.
Without account data we cannot provide the image library.
Who receives it
- Stores library data and runs the upload and content checks in the EU. Handles sign-in in the United States. Runs AI tagging when OpenAI is not available, which can take place outside the EU. Stores our email.
- OpenAI
- Runs AI tagging in the United States. It does not use the images for training, and deletes each request after up to 30 days.
- OpenRouter
- Passes AI tagging requests on to OpenAI. It does not store the images.
- Cloudflare
- Delivers this website and the image library, and stores cloud library images in the EU.
- Sentry
- Receives error reports in the EU, only when you turn them on.
Outside the EU
Sign-in data and AI tagging requests can go to the United States. For these transfers we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, and on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
How long we keep it
- Account, library data and images: as long as you use the image library. When you delete your library or ask us to delete your account, we delete this data.
- Team records: 12 months.
- Error reports: up to 90 days.
- AI tagging requests: up to 30 days at OpenAI.
